Entries were down, probably due to the prolonged wet weather, which caused many birds to moult, which also affects their egg-laying. His call duck was also a 1<sup>st<\/sup> prize winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Show Reserve was a large white Wyandotte shown by Terry Marshall from near Grimsby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best bantam was a lavender Araucana shown by Brian Coulson, from Suffolk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best True bantam was a Serama shown by Mike Johnson, also from Suffolk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best Hard Feather was an Oxford Game bantam from John Brian from Grimsby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best Rare Breed was a female Yokohama  shown by Claire Flower from Leeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juvenile Reserve was a chamois Poland shown by Ellie-Mae Swinson from Horncastle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>19 birds were benched for the <strong>Lincolnshire Buff Poultry Society Club Show<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best Lincolnshire Buff was a pullet shown by Rosemary Smith from Skegness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"562\" src=\"https:\/\/eastofenglandpoultryclub.org\/eepc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/lb-club-show-champion-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-537\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eastofenglandpoultryclub.org\/eepc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/lb-club-show-champion-2019.jpg 480w, https:\/\/eastofenglandpoultryclub.org\/eepc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/lb-club-show-champion-2019-256x300.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><figcaption>President Brian Sands on right with Mike Smith holding his wife Rosemary\u2019s Champion Hen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Reserve Buff was Rosemary Smith&#8217;s cockerel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The East of England Poultry Club held the first of their indoor shows recently, at Horncastle.
